Terms, privacy & cookies
Last updated: 1 September 2026
The short version: use Bonumi lawfully and take responsibility for what you add or generate. Your register content belongs to you. Bonumi does not sell it or share it with third parties for their own purposes. You decide who receives your guest link, and you can permanently delete the whole register yourself at any time.
1. Terms of use
By creating, viewing, reserving from or otherwise using a Bonumi gift register, you agree to these terms. Bonumi provides a free tool for creating and sharing gift wishes and helping guests avoid duplicate presents. You may use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm Bonumi, its users or anyone else.
You must keep your private editor link safe. Anyone with that link may be able to edit or delete the register. The guest link is designed to be shared, and anyone who receives it may be able to view the register and reserve gifts.
2. Your content and your responsibility
You keep ownership of the text, links, images and other material you upload, enter or generate using Bonumi (your “content”). You give Bonumi only the limited permission needed to store, process and display that content so the service can work.
You are solely responsible for your content and for making sure you have the right to use it. Do not add content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, harmful, defamatory, privacy-invasive or that infringes another person’s copyright, trade mark or other rights.
Bonumi does not create, endorse or take responsibility for user-uploaded or user-generated content. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonumi is not liable for that content, for decisions made from it, or for disputes arising from it. Bonumi may remove content or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect people, comply with law or keep the service secure.
3. Privacy and how content is shared
Bonumi stores the information needed to provide your register. This may include the register title and message, occasion and date, uploaded images, gift names, descriptions, prices, product links, reservation names and the technical public and private identifiers used in your links.
Bonumi does not sell your content or share it with third parties for their own use, advertising or marketing. Your content is shown only as needed to provide the service:
- to people who receive or otherwise obtain the guest link you choose to share;
- to anyone who has the private editor link, which is why you should keep it private;
- to service providers acting only on Bonumi’s instructions where technically necessary to host, secure or operate the service; and
- where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and safety.
Bonumi does not intentionally put register content into advertising or analytics services. When a gift links to another website, that website has its own terms and privacy practices. Bonumi is not responsible for outside shops, product pages, purchases, delivery or returns.
4. GDPR and your data rights
If the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, Bonumi processes register data to provide the service you request, keep it secure and maintain its reliable operation. Optional analytics technologies should be used only with consent where consent is required.
Depending on your circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, access your personal data, correct it, erase it, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
To ask a privacy question or exercise a data right that you cannot handle through your private editor link, email info@bonumi.com. Bonumi may need enough information to identify the relevant register and verify that you are authorised to manage it.
5. Delete your register permanently
You are in control. Open your private register-creation/editor page, go to Sharing, choose Delete register and type DELETE to confirm. Bonumi then permanently deletes the guest page, private editor link, register title and message, event details, uploaded background image, gifts, product details and reservation names. All of the register’s content is deleted and the register cannot be restored.
The saved shortcut to that register is also removed from your current browser. A minimal anonymous deletion event, containing no register name or public or private link identifier, may be counted so Bonumi can understand how many registers are deleted.
6. Cookie policy
Cookies are small files stored by a website in your browser. Bonumi may also use similar browser storage. Essential storage helps the service function—for example, remembering registers you created on your device, keeping a session secure or retaining a preference. Removing essential browser storage may remove saved shortcuts, but it does not delete the register itself; use the permanent deletion process above for that.
Bonumi’s public information pages may use Google Analytics to understand visits and improve the experience. Google may set analytics cookies and receive limited technical or usage information, such as browser, device and page-interaction data. Google Analytics does not receive your gift-register content from Bonumi. Non-essential analytics is loaded only after you accept it.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so may affect saved preferences or some features. If a cookie preference control is shown, you can use it to accept, reject or change optional-cookie choices.
7. Availability and liability
Bonumi is provided on an “as available” basis. Features may change, and uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bonumi is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost opportunities, external websites, purchases, or loss caused by sharing a private editor link. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8. Changes and contact
These terms and notices may be updated when the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top will show the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practical.
Questions about these terms, privacy or cookies can be sent to info@bonumi.com.
